Digital tourism pilot project

Highlands and Islands Enterprise have developed a intensive digital support pilot programme, created specifically for businesses in the tourism sector. They aim to recruit up to 60 businesses from across the Highlands and Islands to take part in the pilot, which will last for approximately six months (starting late January 2015). If selected, participants will:

Learn how to make the most of digital technology in their tourism business

Gain detailed insights into digital tourist trends

Receive up to 3 days of 1-1 specialist digital support on location and follow up support

Spend time with leading digital experts in a workshop setting

Be eligible to bid for a digital innovation grant of up to £20,000 to implement their own innovative technology idea within their tourism business (or collaboratively with others).

Highlands and Islands Enterprise do expect demand to be high. To find out more and to register your interest, you will need to complete a short application form as soon as possible via this link: www.hie.co.uk/digitaltourism. Registrations need to be received by 12th January.
