World Responsible Tourism Awards 2016 at WTM London sponsored by the Belize Tourism Board, a global search for the most inspiring and enduring responsible holiday experiences in the world. This year they are seeking out potential winners for our Best Responsible Tourism Campaign category, which aims to recognise a tourist board, tour operators, or tourism organisation or other individual or organisation which has developed a campaign successfully promoting a more responsible way to travel, educating travellers, and changing travel behaviour. This can be a marketing campaign or an advocacy campaign.

Have you recently run a successful marketing campaign centred around local experiences, around eco-tourism, community-based tourism,  sustainable tourism or carbon reduction? Are you actively encouraging visitors to your destination to travel by bike or train rather than by road, or perhaps you are highlighting the fabulous local food and culture you have on offer. Have you seen a rise in sustainable and responsible tourism as a result of a recent marketing campaign? If so the World Responsible Tourism Awards want to share your story.

The Awards scheme, founded and organised by Responsible Travel, is part of the world’s biggest event for responsible tourism action at WTM London each year, with the ceremony taking place in front of over 500 tourism ministers, tourism professionals and media representatives. The Awards aim to celebrate responsible experiences and to change the tourism industry by raising the profile of those who innovate and lead by example.

It is completely free-of-charge to enter the awards and submitting yourself is very easy – simply… Go to http://www.worldresponsibletourismawards.com/submissions  Choose the category you wish to enter and download a submission form. Complete it and return it to us by Sunday 8th May 2016
