Scottish Tourism Week 2016 – AN INCLUSIVE AND ACCESSIBLE WEEK LONG EVENT PROGRAMME ACROSS SCOTLAND!
11th- 18th March
STW2016 On The Road
After a record breaking number of industry colleagues ( 9000) attending events spanning this year’s Scottish Tourism Week Signature programme, the STA are conscious that despite this high level of attendance, there were for a variety of reasons many who just found it too difficult to get to Glasgow, or the dates clashed with other trade shows.
Having listened carefully to our members and wanting to deliver an even greater and more inclusive Scottish Tourism Week (STW) programme of events we have decided to move the dates forward so STW2016 will run over Friday 11th -18th March 2016 and we’ll be doing something a bit different!
Kicking off the STW2016 roadshow, destination and partner organisations will deliver events in Shetland, Orkney, the Outer Hebrides, The Borders and Wester Ross on Friday 11th March. A wide range of events will continue as part of the roadshow, from business breakfasts, conferences and seminars, lunches and receptions across the length and breadth of the country, our aim is to make STW 2016 the most accessible and inclusive yet.
The final two days of the week will be in Edinburgh with the Signature event programme which will encompass a business breakfast, forums, trade shows, exhibitions and conclude with the final of the Scottish Thistle Awards. The Signature event will take place over the 17th and 18th March at the iconic EICC in Edinburgh, a fitting platform to celebrate a unique Focus Year, Scotland’s Year of Architecture, Innovation and Design and the perfect host for our two day industry event.
