DESCRIPTION:The Scottish Tourism Alliance (STA) AGM & Autumn Conference will bring together leading voices and experts from a broad range of sectors for a day packed with speaker presentations\, panel sessions and plenty of opportunities to catch up with colleagues and create new connections. \nOur carefully curated programme has been designed to support and empower the tourism and hospitality industry\, and all those connected to it\, to thrive in the present but also well into the future\, as we collectively work to deliver on Scotland’s vision to be a leader in 21st century tourism. \nWhether you’re a business owner or manager\, supplier or aspiring leader\, this is an unmissable event\, with attendees given access to the latest insights\, trends and forecasts for travel and hospitality\, the economy\, and policy as well as an update on Scotland Outlook 2030\, Scotland’s National Tourism Strategy. They will also benefit from invaluable advice and actionable learnings both for tackling challenges and capitalising opportunities that they may be facing in the industry now and in the future. \n**Speakers already confirmed** include leading communications practitioner\, Cathy MacDonald\, Digital Marketing and Technology evangelist Stephen Whitelaw\, and Minister for Small Business\, Innovation\, Tourism and Trade\, Richard Lochhead MSP. \nThis year’s event will also feature an exhibitor hall\, with the chance to meet with suppliers and supporters of the industry. SUMMARY:Taking charge of your utility strategy
DESCRIPTION:From redundancies to reduced hours\, rising energy costs continue to have a severe and significant impact on tourism and hospitality businesses. \nWith limited support available from the UK Government’s new Energy Bill Discount Scheme (EBDS) and a huge number of businesses out of contract\, it’s difficult to know what action to take next. \nThe Scottish Tourism Alliance (STA) is partnering with leading utilities management company\, eyebright\, to deliver a free online webinar to offer clarity and ultimately empower businesses in the sector to take charge of their energy strategy. \nWhether you’re an SME or a large\, multi-site business\, this event will debunk the myths around utilities management and the new EBDS\, highlight opportunities businesses may be missing to save energy\, and offer information and advice to confidently make choices about your utility strategy going forwards. \nAs well as hearing from business owners who are successfully navigating and managing their utilities\, there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions\, both anonymously ahead of the event and during the session. \nWe look forward to seeing you there. \nJOINING THE EVENT \nJoining instructions\, with a link to join the webinar\, will be shared with attendees a week before the event. \nIf you have any questions which you’d like to be discussed as part of the session on the day\, please email these to communications@stalliance.co.uk by Monday 8th May 2023 at 3pm.
