Real Living Wage

The Scottish Tourism Alliance discovered recently that only 55 tourism business in Scotland are signed up as Living Wage employers.

The Living Wage employer mark is awarded to Scottish employers as a symbol of responsible business practice and highlights organisations that choose to go further than the government minimum.  The current living wage in Scotland is £9.30 per hour.

Accreditation is a very simple and straightforward process for all Scottish headquartered employers. It is a simple online licence that doesn’t require oversight of your payroll or accounts.

All you need to do is pay your directly employed staff over the age of 18 the real Living Wage, as well as paying it to subcontracted workers, such as cleaners, who are regularly on site two hours a day over an 8-week period.
