Aileen Lamb
Tourism & Creative Economy Manager, Scottish Enterprise
Aileen has worked in Scottish tourism for more than 25 years. Within Scotland’s main Economic Development agency Aileen’s roles have included developing the agencies approach to destination development, informing government policy on tourism management and jointly creating the award-winning Tourism Destination Leaders Programme. Most recently her work has been with national and international partners to develop a SMART (technology and data led) approach to Scotland’s future tourism delivery, resulting in the current development of Scotland’s Tourism Observatory and the Travetech for Scotland cluster.
Aileen is leading the development of significant tourism recovery programmes around a Net Zero Pathway and the Scottish Tourism Leadership programme along with partners.
It has been through her extensive work with leaders across the international tourism community, that Aileen recognised the importance of networks to support both personal and business development leading to her role in the launch of Women in Tourism (WIT) in 2015.
Aileen is a Non-Exec Board member with National Museums Enterprises Ltd, a volunteer Ambassador with BloodCancer UK and a founding Board member of Women In Tourism.
