Champion the tourism and hospitality sector to your next MSP
Ahead of the Scottish Parliament elections on 7th May 2026, a record number of MSPs are standing down and there will likely to be the biggest shake-up in political party representation for almost a decade taking place.
As a result, it is more important than ever to ensure that the value and importance of Scotland’s tourism and hospitality sector is at the forefront of the minds of the new intake of MSPs.
We want the next Scottish Government and MSPs to recognise that tourism and hospitality is one of Scotland’s key growth industries that needs support and investment to ensure it continues to deliver for years to come and act as a force for good at the heart of our local communities.
To amplify our voice, we need you to join us as a champion of our election Holyrood manifesto and put pressure on Scottish politicians to deliver on these asks.
The STA has created a letter template that you can use to lobby your local Scottish Parliament candidates in the run up to the elections.
It sets out the information you need to push the election manifesto asks of The Scottish Tourism Alliance (STA) to Champion, Connect, and Invest in Jobs and Growth for the sector and wider Scotland, and suggests where you can tailor its contents based on your personal circumstances and locality.
