Introduction to the National Visitor Levy FAQs
The Scottish Tourism Alliance (STA) and the Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers (ASSC) have been proud to play a pivotal role in developing these comprehensive Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for accommodation providers. Produced in partnership with VisitScotland, the Scottish Government, and industry colleagues, the FAQs are hosted on VisitScotland.org as the central point of reference for businesses.
They have been carefully designed to ensure they are:
• Clear and easy to understand
• Written in plain English
• Accessible and relevant to the intended audience of accommodation providers
While we continue to have significant concerns about the Visitor Levy and recognise the considerable challenges it presents for our sector, we believe it is essential that accommodation providers are supported with the clearest possible information as the legislation is implemented.
By contributing our expertise, the STA and ASSC have sought to ensure that our members, and the wider accommodation sector, are equipped with practical guidance to help navigate this new regulatory landscape.
