First 100 Days, Year and Full-Term of the Scottish Parliament
We ask the next Scottish Government and MSPs to deliver priority actions within their first 100 days, first year and full parliamentary term to secure the future strength and competitiveness of Scotland’s tourism and hospitality sector.
As the nation’s largest source of employment and a generator of £11.4bn in visitor spend in 2024, the sector is a critical national asset, yet persistent underinvestment – driven by the misconception that tourism “just happens” – has left many destinations and businesses without the support needed to remain globally competitive.
Addressing this is essential to protect the communities and supply chains the sector sustains and to unlock its full potential as a driver of sustainable economic growth.
