Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers – ‘Autumn Talks’ sessions
The Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers has had to cancel its Annual Conference and Exhibition, which was due to be held on 27 October 2020 at the Glasgow Hilton, however the association remains resolute in their aims to continue to share knowledge, build upon the extensive support offered to its membership, facilitate continued networking and collaboration and provide continued support to members.
The ASSC has organised a series of exciting and informative weekly webinars ‘Autumn Talks‘ which kicks off Tuesday 1 September 2020 at 11am for five weeks.
Attendance at Autumn Talks is free to ASSC members and £20 including VAT to non-ASSC members.
The one-hour webinar format will be based around two or three presentations followed by a Questions & Answer session open to all participants.
The first Autumn Talk is on Tuesday 1 September on the theme Leadership, Recovery and Opportunities, welcoming Malcolm Roughead OBE, Chief Executive of VisitScotland who will provide a ‘State of the Nation’ update for tourism in Scotland.
Marc Crothall, Chief Executive of The Scottish Tourism Alliance will also be taking part, talking about the role of STA and how together with the tourism sector groups such as ASSC and UK counterparts the organisation has been effective in getting Scotland’s industry voice heard louder than the rest and in getting the traction and the many positive responses from governments to date.
Fiona Campbell, Chief Executive of ASSC, will Chair the session and provide an overview of the self-catering sector: understandably impact of Covid-19; upcoming threats to the sector and opportunities during economic recovery and beyond.
