Member news: The Inverness Hotel Association is rebranded to the Highland Hotels Association (HHA)

The Inverness Hotel Association has been rebranded to the Highland Hotels Association (HHA). We are now looking for new members and for more members around the Highlands.

Our Association is committed to furthering the business opportunities for hospitality within the region. Our mission is to help shape the right conditions for growth and profitability for the tourism sector and raise the profile and the importance of tourism in Inverness and the Highlands.

Our role is to promote the interest of operators, brands and owners across the hospitality sector.

As you know our sector will have to face multiple challenges once again this coming year, including; employment and training, taxation, health, nutrition and sustainability.

Membership Benefits

One of the main benefits of being part of Highland Hotels Association (HHA) is that it brings together those with similar roles and experiences in the industry, allows us to share viewpoints, discuss current events and exchange feedback and advice.

As a member you also gain from:

  • Acting as the voice for the Tourism Industry to Government and Tourism organisations.
  • Communication of trade news. HHA is now affiliated to the Scottish Tourism Alliance (STA) and UKHospitality. Each association will attend a meeting in Inverness once a year, IHA attends UKHospitality (Scotland) meetings four times a year.
  • Access to many of the benefits afforded by both the STA and UKHospitality, including discounted rates to attend the annual National STA Tourism Conferences.
  • Working closely with UHI to improve training and recruitment.
  • Represented hospitality sector to all formal events.
  • Working closely with City Events, VisitScotland, TBID, SCDI, SDS, DWY, Highlands & Islands Enterprise, Inverness Chamber of Commerce, Eden Court and Highland Council.
  • Represent your hotel at the annual VisitScotland Expo on our shared stand.
  • Market share information (source STR).

HHA hold their monthly meetings on the last Thursday of each month at 11am for two hours in one of the members’ hotels.

The annual fee is £275.

Please join us for the launch of our new “Highland” Association at Ness Walk Hotel on Thursday 9th June 2022 at 8am with a breakfast meeting. Bookings only, please email: manager@glen-mhor.com.
