Industry Update: New Chair for Destination Organisation Love Loch Lomond

Destination Organisation Love Loch Lomond is delighted to announce the appointment of its new Chair, Kathryn Angel, General Manager of Sea Life Loch Lomond.

Kathryn takes over from Andy Roger, Resort Director of Cameron House Loch Lomond, who has chaired the destination organisation covering Loch Lomond, The Trossachs and Clyde Sea Lochs since 2016.

Kathryn has worked as the General Manager at Sea Life Loch Lomond (Merlin Entertainments Group) since 2019 and also lives in the local area. She is extremely passionate of beauty of Loch Lomond as an area and the future opportunities for tourism growth in the area.

Since joining the Love Loch Lomond Board in 2019, Kathryn has worked tirelessly in her role as Director and latterly as Vice Chair, including the initial development of the Rediscover Loch Lomond campaign.

Former Love Loch Lomond Chair, Andy Roger said: “It has been a privilege to Chair Love Loch Lomond over the past years. Both Karen, our Destination Manager and the Board of Directors have been a huge support during such difficult times for the tourism industry and without their huge contributions we would not have made the progress we have been able to. I am delighted Kathryn is taking on the role of Chair and wish her every success in the position.”

New Love Loch Lomond Chair Kathryn Angel said: “I am absolutely delighted to take up this role at a particularly exciting and challenging time for Scottish tourism. We are grateful to our former Chair Andy Roger for his significant contribution to the development of Love Loch Lomond so far and I’m looking forward to working with everyone involved in driving forward the next stage of Love Loch Lomond to ensure our destination continues to offer an exceptional visitor experience in Scotland.”

Additionally, Audrey Calder of Loch Lomond Shores was appointed as Vice Chair. Audrey has been a key figure over the past year in the delivery of the successful Rediscover Loch Lomond campaign.
