STA Update: New and updated resources to support the tourism and hospitality industry

As part of our commitment to offering the best possible support, advice and information to our network, the STA is delighted to announce the launch of updated resources for the tourism and hospitality industry.

The STA Industry Information, Advice and Support Hub

The Scottish Tourism Alliance is privileged to have the strongest tourism network in Scotland, and we’re committed to strengthening relationships and promoting collaboration to offer timely information, advice and ultimately the best possible support to the tourism and hospitality industry.

Our re-designed Industry Information, Advice and Support Hub features useful resources, and highlights trusted suppliers and partner organisations in a broad range of areas relevant to the sector, with sections dedicated to ‘Doing Business’ (covering everything from law and finance to PR and translating services), Advocacy and Legislation, Available Funding, and Trends, Research and Insights.

Our Hub is constantly being updated. If you have a resource that that you think would be useful to our network, please email communications@stalliance.co.uk.

Access the Hub here.

The STA Industry Meetings and Major Events Calendar

To allow better collaboration across our network and to ensure the industry is aware of, and can capitalise on, major events taking place in Scotland, we have created a dedicated calendar on our website here.

To submit a conference or major event for consideration, please contact communications@stalliance.co.uk. Please note, to ensure we can keep our calendar as up-to-date and as easy to navigate as possible, we’re only able to include large meetings, conferences, and major events, which are relevant to tourism and hospitality organisations.

Taking charge of your utility strategy: a free webinar to save tourism and hospitality businesses time, money and energy

From redundancies to reduced hours, rising energy costs continue to have a severe and significant impact on tourism and hospitality businesses.

With limited support available from the UK Government’s new Energy Bill Discount Scheme (EBDS) and a huge number of businesses out of contract, it’s difficult to know what action to take next.

The Scottish Tourism Alliance (STA) is partnering with leading utilities management company, eyebright, to deliver a free online webinar to offer clarity and ultimately empower businesses in the sector to take charge of their energy strategy.
Whether you’re an SME or a large, multi-site business, this event will debunk the myths around utilities management and the new EBDS, highlight opportunities businesses may be missing to save energy, and offer information and advice to confidently make choices about your utility strategy going forwards.

As well as hearing from business owners who are successfully navigating and managing their utilities, there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions, both anonymously ahead of the event and during the session.
