Scotland’s airline launches new booking app

Loganair has launched a new app which will increase convenience for customers booking flights via mobile devices.

Customers will be able to make new bookings, manage existing bookings, store flight details, check-in and download mobile boarding passes, saving time during the journey planning process and also at the airport.

It will be particularly useful for frequent flyers, including those travelling to and from Scotland’s Highlands and Islands as the app allows customers to store Air Discount Scheme (ADS) details and use them to make future reservations.

The app will be available to download from the App Store for Apple users and also the Google Play Store for Android from 2nd September.

Loganair Marketing Manager Sam Talbot said: “Our new app is designed to offer an improved mobile experience, reducing the amount of time required to make and manage bookings, but also to speed things up at the airport with our mobile boarding pass”.

“Uniquely, it’ll also provide ADS functionality which we know is important across the Highlands and Islands.”

The airline has made a number of amendments to its travel policies designed to simplify travel for its customers, including extending advanced check-in times, allowing passengers to split their baggage allowance amongst two bags, online boarding cards and the removal of the need to show photo ID at boarding gates.
