Graeme graduated from Abertay University in Dundee in 2010 with an MSc(with Distinction) in Ethical Hacking. He was the winner of the NCR prize as top performing student on the course.
Graeme then entered into an international IT Data and Project management career that took him to countries as diverse as Qatar, China, Korea, Mexico, Costa Rica and Chile. It was in Korea in 2016 Graeme first got involved in Blockchain through Bitcoin. In 2017, he became hugely interested in Blockchain gaming and Metaverse, using NFTs, Blockchain and community governance. During the pandemic, Graeme saw how Blockchain gaming and the Metaverse was providing a social safety net to people in the Philippines and this was the inspiration for starting New Frontier as a business.
New Frontier develops gamified solutions in Tourism and was commissioned by The Association of Scottish Visitor Attractions (ASVA) and Traveltech for Scotland to create “The Metaverse Playbook” – an interactive toolkit usable for any industry to show companies how to get involved and put educating users at the heart of a Metaverse strategy. New Frontier works with Scottish Tourism as well as GenCat (Cataluña) and Sedetur (Mexico) and is building solutions fit for the engagement economy that entice and extend experiences in the real world.
