Iain opened Arbikie Distillery with his brothers in 2014 on their family farm where they have farmed for four generations; the Stirling family have been farming for over 400 years. Arbikie aims to be one of the world’s most sustainable distilleries & is on a journey that has seen them distil Nadar, the world’s first climate-positive gin and to be the first in the world to power their distillery with hydrogen. They distil their family of luxury, field-to-bottle spirits from the crops & botanicals grown on their farms, including Highland Rye, the world’s first Rye Scotch Whisky for 200 years. Arbikie’s customers include Noma, The Connaught, Aman Resorts, Four Seasons, Dorchester, Jean-Georges Restaurants, Whole Foods and The Fat Duck. Arbikie recently opened their Distillery Experience at Lunan Bay on Scotland’s sunny east coast, just north of Dundee.
Previous to setting up Arbikie, Iain worked with Whyte & Mackay, Jim Beam Brands, Volkswagen Group, Marks & Spencer and Diageo. Iain is on the Board of Scotland Food & Drink, the Scottish North American Business Council and is a GlobalScot.
