With a degree in history followed by many years in the tourism industry, firstly with inbound US tour operators and subsequently heading up UK city and rural tourist boards, Giles joined Abbotsford in 2015. Abbotsford is cared for by an independent charity which is currently leading an international celebration of the 250th anniversary of Walter Scott’s birth.
