Nick Peel
Director: Estate Management and Operational Readiness at NEOM
Nick specializes in the operational management and set up of large-scale retail led development projects and since June 2023 has been Estate Management and Operational Readiness Director for NEOM in Saudi Arabia, working specifically on The Line: Landscapes. A footprint roughly the size of Belgium. Involving multiple hotels, marinas, lagoons, dive centres, retail, restaurants and guest experience hubs. Early phases aimed at 2030 activation.
Prior to this, Nick was Managing Director of St James Quarter in Edinburgh for 4 years, the transformational 1 billion pounds, 850 000 sq feet prime retail, dining, leisure, and entertainment development, with recent additions of high-end residential apartments, Roomzzz aparthotel and the soon to open W Edinburgh luxury hotel.
Peel brings years of high-level operational management experience having also been Head of Asset and Estate Management at London’s world class Battersea Power Station development, and Head of Property Management at Landsec, having worked on Leeds Trinity, Bristol Cabot Circus, and Cardiff St Davids. He has also been UK Country Manager for McArthur Glen Designer Outlets, and Retail Director for Arsenal FC and Rangers FC.
He is currently an Independent Director for the highly successful UCI World Cycling Championships Glasgow 2023, and has held Board positions for Essential Edinburgh, Marka PJSC in Dubai, the Lift Agency and Icons.com.
His family are based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire where Nick enjoys the Yorkshire Dales with his wife, children and two dogs. Sport and football in particular is a passion, as is travel and discovering new hotels, restaurants and experiences.
