Ruth Souter
Business Support & Membership Manager
Ruth graduated from Napier University with a BA (Hons) in Tourism Management and since then has enjoyed a diverse career within the tourism industry, in well established businesses such as Perthshire Tourist Board, The Scotch Whisky Heritage Centre, Morrison’s Tours and Rabbie’s Tours.
She has supported and managed various businesses over the years – including both International and domestic markets, where she managed the assets of high-net-worth clients. This has given her a strong background in financial and administrative core competencies.
As the Scottish Tourism Alliance (STA) Business Support and Membership Manager, Ruth assumes the day-to-day responsibility for the STA’s financial matters. She is the primary liaison with the STA’s appointed management accountants and auditors AAB Financial Services.
Ruth seamlessly merges her financial expertise with exceptional relationship-building skills with our valued members of the STA, reporting directly to the STA’s CEO she is also responsible for co-ordinating the STA Board activity.
During her studies, Ruth was awarded the Hotel and Catering International Management Association (HCIMA) Award.
