A native of Lanark in Scotland, Scott brings 15 years of hospitality experience to his role as General Manager of Virgin Hotels Edinburgh. Scott grew up in Marriott’s Autograph Collection starting at the Glasshouse Hotel Edinburgh where he served as the F&B Manager, Sales & Marketing Manager, and finally, Operations Manager, leading into his career as a General Manager.
Since his early days in Edinburgh Scott has developed and maintained a passion for curating exceptional guest experiences and maintains a hands-on leadership style, he enjoys interacting with colleagues and guests alike to discover new ways of improving the services we offer to clients.
In his most recent roles, Scott was the GM of Scrub Island Resort, Spa and Marina, where he was responsible for overseeing the re-opening following the damage caused by Hurricane Irma in 2017. After Scrub Island Scott moved to Cambodia working for Vattanac Capital overseeing the launch of a group of Luxury Lifestyle resorts.
