STA welcomes Yourtex on board as new Patron!

As you can imagine, the STA has never been busier and we are so pleased to have had so much support from our members and businesses across Scotland who have recently joined the STA.

We are delighted to announce that Yourtex, manufacturer of custom made workwear and PPE have joined the STA as Patrons this week.

Yourtex along with their partner organisation Yourtex EU in Belgium supply many businesses within the hospitality, food and drink and retail sectors across the UK and Europe, some of whom are STA Members and we look forward to working in close partnership with the organisation at what will be a critical time for our industry as we look towards recovery and the reopening of our tourism businesses.

It will be more important than ever for employers to ensure that their staff have the right clothing for the workplace and we would of course expect clear guidelines on that to come from the government well in advance of our businesses reopening.  This is likely to be mandatory, however one of the challenges that businesses have regarding PPE is sourcing it and also ensuring that this is of a safe standard.  Yourtex are a trusted supplier and have a solid supply of certified PPE, specifically masks and are currently working with international suppliers to bring these to the UK.

The organisation will be an invaluable resource of advice and of course a much needed supplier to our tourism & Hospitality sector over the coming months.

Billy McNeil, Director of Yourtex said;

“At Yourtex we are delighted to be a Patron and very much look forward to being part of the STA and contributing where we can to support the tourism and hospitality industry.

These are incredibly challenging times and we all need to support each other back to the environment we all need to be in and being part of the STA, we hope to support the great work they are already doing.

We are already currently supporting businesses and the NHS from our sustainable PPE supply chain and hope to support the STA and organisations within the industry in the same way.”

If you are interested in finding out more about sourcing PPE from Yourtex for your business to reopen, please get in touch with Billy via email – billy@yourtex.co.uk or phone 07515 656 809.

It has been thanks to the financial support of our patrons and members (c70% of the tourism industry) that we have been and are able to continue to do what we do on behalf of Scotland’s tourism industry and all connected to it.

One of the most important aspects of the STA’s function now, and over the coming months and indeed years will be in working with public and private enterprise to rebuild Scotland’s tourism industry.

We have already started to partner larger businesses who have recognised the stature and position of the STA in our response to the Covid-19 crisis and the future recovery of our tourism industry; businesses who not only want to support the STA financially to enable us to do that but also have a role and important part to play in rebuilding and shaping Scotland’s future.

If you would like to find out more about becoming an STA Patron or member, please click here and get in touch with us to explore current options and packages.

We would be delighted to welcome you and work with you over the coming weeks and months to protect and rebuild Scotland’s tourism industry.
