Despite the significant challenges of the past two years, Scotland’s tourism industry has remained hugely resilient and our community has strengthened in many ways.
The STA as the industry leader, has consolidated a positive, healthy and productive working relationship with both governments, we have expanded our network and reach throughout the crisis with an increase in our membership and as a team, we have worked relentlessly to do all we can to stabilise the industry through our influence and relationships.
As we move towards recovery and hopefully better times ahead, we are looking to build and strengthen the STA team and have begun our search to find a new Communications & Member Engagement Manager to support the organisation through our next stage of growth.
This is a hugely exciting role for a talented, ‘go the extra mile’ individual with a passion for great comms, people and a strong marketing communications skillset.
You’ll be part of a close knit team of hardworking, friendly, upbeat and driven professionals.

| Salary scale: | £36k-£38k pro rata, benefits include up to 5% annual discretionary bonus, 5% company pension contribution after 3 months of employ.

| Location: | Agreed blend of home working and hot desk/office (our team meets virtually throughout the week and in person twice a month at the moment) There will also at certain times of the year be a requirement to travel to industry meetings and events across Scotland with occasional overnight stays.

| Contract: | 34hrs pw (working hours flexible over 4.5 days)

| The Scottish Tourism Alliance (STA) is the representative body of the Scottish tourism industry. Our organisation comprises over 250 trade associations, businesses, destination groups and other organisations with an interest in tourism.
We offer the best possible representation of the issues and challenges we face as an industry through continuous engagement with more than 70% of tourism businesses in Scotland. Our membership is spread across all regions and destinations in Scotland. We are governed by a Board with representation from all sectors within Scotland’s tourism industry. Find out more here. |

| Reporting to the CEO, your role will include:
STA Marketing & Member Communications Delivery of marketing campaigns and communications activities to generate prospective member leads and drive retention of existing members
STA Digital & Social Media Marketing
STA Websites – STA and STM (Scottish Tourism Month)
STA Events
STA Marketing databases /CRM
STA Support
