STA Update: Whitbread becomes an official Supporter of the Scottish Tourism Alliance (STA)
The Scottish Tourism Alliance (STA), the largest member organisation and leading representative body for Scotland’s tourism industry, is pleased to announce that Whitbread, owner of the UK’s biggest hotel brand Premier Inn, has become the latest high-profile hospitality organisation to commit their support to the STA.
The partnership reinforces Whitbread’s commitment to their team in Scotland as well as to being a force for good in the industry and in the wider communities in which they operate.
Marc Crothall MBE, Chief Executive of the Scottish Tourism Alliance, said:
“I am absolutely delighted to welcome such a fantastic, well-respected organisation, and a previous employer of mine, into the STA family. Whitbread intimately understands the multitude of challenges the industry is facing but is also a pioneer, embracing the opportunities it presents, and we very much value their support. We look forward to working with Valerie and others in the Whitbread senior team to champion the long-term success of Scotland’s hospitality and tourism industry and all the people who work in it.”
Val Graham, Operations Director for Whitbread in Scotland, said:
“We are very proud of our network of 76 Premier Inn and hub by Premier Inn hotels across Scotland. It gives our customers a choice of 7,500 affordable hotel rooms in some wonderful locations across the country and we are continuing to expand. Supporting the work of the Scottish Tourism Alliance makes perfect sense given our scale and aspirations in Scotland. Marc and the team have built an excellent reputation with senior stakeholders in the Scottish Government and elsewhere and I am looking forward to getting involved and representing our successful brands in their important work.”
