Food Tourism Update – October
Lots of news from the food tourism world this month…
Storytelling is of course fundamental to food tourism development. The STA, in partnership with Opportunity North East, Interface, Connect Local and Scotland Food & Drink was pleased to support a Storytelling and Sense of Place workshop in Aberdeen recently to equip tourism and food and drink companies with the skills and inspiration to tell their story for business benefit.
The Scottish Enterprise agritourism monitor farm programme, which supports the development of agritourism and rural businesses, continues to flourish. Meetings and events are open to all and there are some useful reports available here for those who can’t attend
Marc Crothall will also be speaking at this year’s global food travel innovation summit, FoodTrex on 3rd November in London, before the World Travel Market begins.

If you’re coming to the STA Annual Autumn Conference, please do visit Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Award finalists and winners who will be exhibiting.
This year we will welcome Deans of Huntly, Summer Harvest Oils, The Drinks Bakery, Six Degrees North, Lazy Day Foods and Aldomak.
