Last chance to register to attend STA Election Hustings 2021, chaired by Brian Taylor
We will close registration for the Election Hustings event at 10am tomorrow so if you haven’t registered, please do so before the cut off time tomorrow.
Event details
The hustings will be held on Zoom on 19 April at 11am, chaired by former BBC Scotland political editor, Brian Taylor and will focus on how a sustainable and well-supported tourism sector can drive Scotland’s economic recovery.

- Jamie Halcro Johnston – Scottish Conservatives (Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Tourism)
- Rhoda Grant – Scottish Labour (Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Tourism)
- Liam McArthur – Scottish Liberal Democrats
- Laura Moodie – Scottish Greens
We are moving away from the traditional hustings format; we feel that the ‘virtual world’ doesn’t lend itself quite as well to a debate of this nature or offer the opportunity to challenge as ‘real life’ might so we will offer the representatives of each party 2 minutes to make their case before Brian poses questions which have been put forward by STA members.
If you are your business, association or group’s nominated lead representative member of the STA, you will have already received correspondence directly from us with details of how to register for your complimentary place to attend.
If you are not the lead member or are an indirect member through membership of your sectoral association or destination organisation, you can attend the event at the cost of £20 + VAT. You can register here.
