Updated guidance on the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme

The Government has updated its guidance on the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme.

The changes include mentioning that employees made redundant, or who stopped working for an employer on or after 28th February 2020, can be re-employed and put on furlough, and that employers can claim for their wages through the scheme. The guidance confirms that employers can only claim for furloughed employees that were on PAYE payroll on or before 28th February.
